Since 1988
Columbia Stone, Inc. was founded in 1988 to provide design and construction services to clients in the use of dimensional stone on commercial office building projects. We differ from other subcontractors in the stonework field because we focus specifically on the use of dimensional stone. During our twenty-six year history, we have concentrated on building lasting relationships with some of the largest stone fabricators in the world. These relationships, coupled with our proven performance record, allow us to compete effectively against much larger companies.
Over 116 years
of combined experience
Our senior management team has over 116 years of combined experience in the commercial application of dimensional stone. Our work-related experience spans from the early 1980’s with Blaesing Granite Company to the present, which covers exterior cladding projects such as the original Crocker Towers in Los Angeles, and the Capitol Area East End in Sacramento, CA, to some of our latest projects, the Seattle Justice Center, and the Seattle City Hall in Seattle, WA. All these projects exhibit our ability to design-build exterior cladding in the manner that best meets the clients’ needs and project requirements. The Capitol Area East End project, because of its elliptical entry and intricate columns, was a handset stone cladding project on steel stud framing. The Seattle Justice Center was a panelized system designed to meet the requirements of an aggressive schedule. The Seattle City Hall is primarily masonry laid-up French limestone.
