Stone Installation Types
CSI can help determine the best installation technique for your project. As with most facets of the project, stone installation can vary based on things such as; access to the project site and time scheduled for installation. Both of these considerations, along with others can help determine if the project should be panelized, partially panelized or entirely handset.
Handset
Mortared, Adhered, Wire-Set and Mechanical Anchor Systems
Handset refers to each stone piece being installed to the structure one at a time. Handset stone can be installed using any type of stone support system and stone anchorage attachment method.
Panel
Metal Stud, Structural Steel, Precast Concrete, Cygnus and Terra Cotta Panel Systems
Panel systems refer to individual stone veneer pieces that are attached to a framing panel that can be transported to the jobsite in groups and erected directly to the structural face of the building. A panel system can shorten the on-site time needed to install the stone veneer.
